Forum Information

Thank you for your participation, until the next Forum!

Québec City welcomes the XVIth International Forum for Back and Neck Pain Research in Primary Care
from Wednesday 3rd to Saturday 6th July, 2019.

Bienvenue dans la ville de Québec!

Founded in the 17th century, Québec City bears eloquent testimony to important stages in the European settlement of the Americas: it was the capital of New France and, after 1760, of the new British colony. The Historic District of Old Québec is an urban area of about 135 hectares. It is made up to two parts: the Upper Town, sitting atop Cap Diamant and defended by fortified ramparts, a citadel, and other defensive works, and the Lower Town, which grew up around Place Royale and the harbour. A well-preserved integrated urban ensemble, the historic district is a remarkable example of a fortified colonial town, and is unique north of Mexico. Old Québec is a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage site since 1985.

After the cold Winter and long awaited Spring, early July is usually a beautiful time of year in Québec, with longer days and warmer weather. The streets become animated as the locals celebrate summertime in many different ways. It is also a great time for walking, hiking, and visiting, so don’t miss the opportunity to explore Canada before or after the Forum.

The theme of Forum XVI, ‘Back to the Future’, refers to innovations that can change the way back and neck pain are considered and treated and research is conducted, such as personalized medicine, shared decision making and new computer applications, to name but a few. Delegates are encouraged to explore new, original ideas that may bring the field in new territories in the coming years.

Members of the local organizing committee look forward to host the next International Forum on Back and Neck Pain Research in Primary Care and to welcome you to Québec City in early July 2019.
