Pre-forum meetings

The Lancet Low Back Pain Series Open Meeting - Tuesday, July 2, 2019 - (Register in order to join us at 12:00 for lunch)

Time: 1:00 to 4:00 pm
Location: Faculty of Medicine, Université Laval

This open meeting will discuss the background to The Lancet series, its main messages and discuss media, policy and clinician responses. Small group discussions will focus on how we can keep up the momentum generated by the series in order to reduce the burden of low back pain on a global scale. We will also outline plans for a second Lancet series that focuses on measuring progress and will include research studies that address the principal research questions outlined in the first series.

HOW TO GET TO UNIVERSITÉ LAVAL

The University is about 15-min direct drive (on boulevard René-Lévesque) from the Quebec Convention Centre (1000 Boul René-Lévesque Est, Québec, QC, CANADA G1R 2B5); A taxi would cost about 15 $; there are also frequent city buses (800 or 801) going directly from the Convention centre to the campus. The exact address is Faculty of Medicine, Pavillon Ferdinand-Vandry, 1050 avenue de la Médecine, Université Laval, Québec, QC, CANADA G1V 0A6. There are two entrances to the pavilion; both are fine but the West entrance is preferable; there will be an information desk and directions in the hall.
